Concepts
Forms, responses, the inbox, emails and the workspace, and how they fit together.
Forms
A form is the unit everything hangs off: it owns its fields and design, its settings, its email templates, its responses and its analytics. Forms can be grouped into folders with a colour, which is how the sidebar and dashboard organise them.
Responses
A response (also called a submission) is one accepted request to a form's endpoint. It stores the answers as a JSON object keyed by field key, plus metadata: time, approximate location, device, browser, operating system, referrer and any UTM parameters. Responses are unread until opened, can be starred, and are either genuine or spam.
Inbox
There are two inboxes. The workspace inbox at /inbox shows responses across every form, newest first. Each form also has a Responses tab scoped to that form, with search, filters, bulk actions and export.
Emails
Each form can send two emails per response. The notification goes to you and has Reply-To set to the sender. The confirmation goes to the sender if the form captured their address. Both are written in the Emails tab and rendered with your branding.
Workspace
Your account is a workspace. The dashboard loads it in a single request (forms, folders, counters and seven-day trends), which is why it opens instantly even with many forms. Press ⌘K anywhere in the app to jump to a form, a tab or an action.
